HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE

Our Super Heros!!!

VERY DISAPPOINTED!

I missed the cut off to enter this one in a challenge for October!!
Never mind I still love that I have scrapped these two cute photos our all OUR SUPER HEROS!!!

I stayed up last night to complete this one!!  You can't really see the crackling on the brickwork BUT it was really cool to watch it change when I dried it!

TWO 2DAY!

A   Check out this cheeky monkey's face!!
2   All covered in CAKE!!!
               Z   Tyler loves cake!

We made him a little mini cake, along with the birthday cake!
It was all for him and as you can see he enjoyed every morsel of it ALTHOUGH
he left a little on his nose &
on his chin &
on his lips &
oh yeh and on his shirt too!

I LOVE these colours in the mood board and hope you think I did justice to them here in this
TWO 2DAY layout!

Thanks A2Z Scraplets!

I believe I can FLY

Teal purplepink
& all those other groovy colours!!
Don't you just love them!

Sketchy Boards October Challenge what right up my alley!!
I was able to scrap another one of Avaari's 1st Birthday Photos!

This one is of her, in her cute lace birthday dress and she is peaking out of from inside her Tee Pee!
Although she looks really shy in this particular photo, she is FAR FROM IT!!!
"Our Cheeky Little Wild Child" we call her!
We are absolutely sure she does BELIEVES SHE CAN FLY as the title says!

Thanks again

I hope you like my take on this months moodboard sketch! I have flipped the sketch because when I made the pretty sprayed mandala I realised that it would be mostly covered up with the other elements!! It was too pretty to cover up!!

Super Awesome ZIAH

D-lish Scraps' Challenge for October was perfect for this photo of our seriously rad Ziah, all ready for his Book Week Dress Up Day at Kindy!

I really enjoyed making the Octagon shapes out of cardboard! It is really therapeutic ripping the layers to expose the corrugations underneath!  Getting my hands all painty and inky to decorate this is also FUNtabulous!

The little Spiderman above the  title is actually a photo of Spiderman at Universal Studios - I just fussy cut him out and he makes a great embellishment!

Thanks again D-lish Scraps

Beautiful YOU

Fresh as a daisy     Sweet as can be    BEAUTIFUL YOU

Sometimes sweet and simple is the way to go!
I LOVE THESE 123 Challenges - great sketches and thought provoking colour boards!

Little Jayde our first Crandaughter, was dress ups with the BIG girls this day!  Her Auntie Ruthy was doing a Diploma in Beauty Therapy and asked JJ to be a model!!  The shoot was "sweet" themed and JJ was thrilled to be able to wear lolly jewellery and finish off that lollipop prop quick smart when it was all over!

Friends for 35+ years!

Cute little board board from ARTastic

Just had to use this photo for this challenge!  Lola & I have been friends for 35+ years and this is one of the first few photos I have of us together!

I thought the floral of my dress fitted in well with the lady friend swimmers  he he he
I didn't use a beachy theme for this layout, BUT thought I got the colours down OK ???

Thanks ARTastic

Oh Paree! We are lost!

Oh Paree!
I LOVE black board papers!  AND we have so many travel photos I loved this challenge!

These photos show two sides of our adventures in Paree and there were many more funny stories to tell too!  Scared under the Eiffel Tower, eating raw meat (they call it steak tartare)  at dinner time, being over charged for a coke at Minims right next door to Maxims (the well renowned Parisian restaurant), counting every step climbing the Arc de Triomph.... we've got a million!!    BUT really what travelling adventure doesn't have funny stories when you are travelling with my man Kerry!

These photos show 1- Kerry checking out a map in one of the streets!! Of course everything is written in French so he really was clueless considering he failed his Grade 8 French exam! 2 - us in front of the Arc de Triomph that we eventually found!!!

Thanks Scrapbooking Top 50 AUS

Pretty in Purple!

Jayde was a good subject for this pretty challenge this month !!

Scrapping Outback's White with a Twist is such a pretty mood board!  I tried really hard to find a pretty purple and yellow pansy to use in this layout!  I even tried to paint a white flower  uggghhh  see below!!

The silver dots and dashes don't come up to well in the photo!   One day I would love to watch a tutorial on how to take a good photo of your layouts to show the true colour and how to get them flat and straight!!

Thanks again!  http://scrapping-outback.blogspot.com.au/2017/10/october-2017-white-with-twist-challenge.html?m=1
My hilarious attempt at changing a flower to a pansy!!

grow wild child

Hi all! This one is close to my heart! As a 16 year survivor to this dreadful disease, I was keen to scrap a photo or two of my journey! However, my computer decided to die on me and I can't retrieve any old photos until it is recovered!!  Wish me luck with that one please!

So of course our cute little wild child Avarri came to the rescue and I hope you like my take on the challenge board all pinks and black n white!  Unfortunately once again the glittery bright pinks have not shown up in the photo but please use your imagination and THINK PINK because the glittery PINK colours are WILD!

Halloween Time

SCRAPPING CLEARLY thank you for making my job much easier with this fabulous mood board and sketch! Once again I have incorporated both in the one layout!

The photos of Ruth my youngest daughters talented makeup art works was great to showcase in this layout!  I thought the photos looked better in black n white BUT had to put the colour pics into a mini album underneath the b n w photo!  Check her brilliant work out below!

 Loving this colour mood board

A little whisper of PINK - Avaari!

Loving this Pink Whisper Challenge!   I always have enough photos that will look great with PINK! With three granddaughters and four daughters I always have plenty to choose from!

Thanks Avaari for being the best subject in these photos!

Thanks White With 1  https://whitewith1.blogspot.com.au/

Perfect Picture

I kept putting this Challenge off BUT when I found this cheeky photo of a child who is strong, confident and a little bit cheeky I had to scrap it!

Off the Rails October Challenge asked us to use gray, white and one other colour!  Luckily my photo was perfect and of course I had to add one of my favourite colours, TEAL to make it POP!

I absolutely love this range of papers from South African company,  Penelope Dee! www.penelopedee.co.za

Thanks Off the Rails for a thought provoking challenge -  https://offtherailsscrapbooking.blogspot.com.au/

Ruth & Kardi 3 years ago!

Reflecting back this week!
Ruth and Kardi just celebrated their 3rd Wedding Anniversary last week! So while reminiscing over wedding layouts I saw this one and thought I would share it with you!

Shop n Crop Scrapbooking asked that we reflect back on layouts from the past and share our favourite techniques! Well this one is quite unique I think!  I utilised a bunch of lipstick kisses in the shape of a heart, that Ruth's friends did for her at her Wedding Shower.  I also love zentangling and doodling so I love this little piece in the bottom corner!   It's a very simple layout but I love it!!

On the wall!

Thanks to The Dusty Attic for the inspiration with the mood board and sketch this month!

These photos were also taken in the photo shoot by Ruth for her @taitetribe Instagram page!
I hope you agree that she has captured the kidlings swagger really well!

Z & A together!

When my daughter did this little photo shoot for her Instagram page taitetribe, I fell in love with the photos and thought that this challenge sketch was perfect for them!  I hope you like it too!

The rusty and checker plate papers were perfect!

THANKS STUCK SKETCHES

LOVE U 3

LET'S GET SKETCHY
October Challenge was a cute little sketch by Brenshevia! and perfect for this new photo of three of my grandies!!  Since my girls were little we have done these quirky shots, so I was thrilled to see my daughter, Sarah had taken one of her 3 kidlings!!!

The quilt that Chace, Tyler & Dyllan are lying on is one that I have made for them! I used denim jeans in the squares of the quilt, so I had to use some of my favourite denim paper for the layout!    One day I might get around to making two more, if I can ever get over my scrapbooking addiction!

Thanks again!

Fantastic Friends Forever!

WOW! what a lovely way to celebrate my friendship with my dear Fantastic Friend of 35 years and will be Forever!  Lola Wagner and I spend lots of lovely times together scrapping! This photo is of a day we spent at Scrapulous doing a Tracy Keilty workshop!

The brief of   3 F's  was easy as!! In fact I was able to find 6!!! (Using a little bit of poetic licence!)
1  two lovely brown Feathers!
2  brown Flourish die cuts!!
Flowers - lots of fancy flowers!! Big ones, Little ones, Paper ones, Fabric ones, and my very own crocheted one!!!  It's hard to see underneath there, but up in the left hand corner, I am showing you my stuff!!!!
4 - two cute little Flairs one with a Feather too!!!!
5 - some old but pretty Fancy tatting from a long time ago!!!!!
6  a Foto of two great Friends!

Thanks Show Us Your Stuff for a fun challenge

Merry & Bright Memory

Kaiser Craft Australia October Challenge !

I absolutely LOVE the new papers and collectables in the Mint wishes collection!  I headed straight down to the shop to buy mine and got straight to creating two lovely layouts using these pretty papers!

I chose two photos from years ago when I was just a young girl!  The first one is of my sisters and I, sitting in front of the tree, with our family dog Heidi!  The second one is of me and is quite dark unfortunately BUT I think the papers I chose, actually help lift the photo a bit! I am a bit disappointed in the darkness of the photo because it is a very rare one of me smiling!!! You can see me in the first photo with the usual  almost always NO SMILE face!

Thanks Kaisercraft for the challenge once again, and for creating this range of pretty papers because I know I am going to have lots more creating fun with them.

Our FAMILY Halloween

 CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS CHALLENGE
FOR OCTOBER
IS A LITTLE BIT   ssppoookkkyyyyy

We here in Australia don't as a whole celebrate Halloween although it is becoming more and more common as each year goes on!

My niece Kystal decided to host out Family Get together in October a couple of years ago and she decided to throw a Halloween Party. As you can see we all got into the mood dressing up and all the trimmings including dry ice set up a fantastic ambiance!!!

My sister Gill, Bron and I tried our best to look suitably spooky!

My page is mostly blacks and white with a little touch of tan! I think this this fits into the brief of
Simply be inspired by 1 element from the picture below and the twist is to make your project black and white.  I will let a very teeny tiny bit of color slip on by!

Thanks for the Challenge CM it was way out of my comfort zone BUT had lots of fun creating it

Adding little fussy cut birdies painting them with BLACK and glossy accents!

 Inking laces and hessian BLACK!

beauties

Just wanted to say a BIG thank you to Geli Duncan for a great workshop on Monday!!
I love these papers and the marvellous way she showed us how to cut up three pieces of 12" x 12" and then put them together again was fantastic. I can't wait to try this a gain on another collection of papers!!  Geli took a lot of trouble to do the sewing on all (9 of us) of our pages!

I love these photos I chose for this double page layout!
Thanks again Geli!

YOU TWO

SCRAPBOOKIT
This was a great challenge with a lovely sketch and five elements to include in the layout!
The photo is of my grandchild # 4, Chace with his brand new baby brother, Tyler, Grandchild # 6!
Here is how I used the five elements in my layout!

#1   U or YOU
My title is YOU TWO

#2   CIRCLES
I have used a couple of different circles -
Large outline circles; using Imagination Crafts Starlights Metallic Pain (clotted cream)
Medium and smaller ones; using the same paint but as a solid circle
One of my favourite things are flairs, so there is another circle!

#3   SPRAYS
Some more circles which are a little more subtle were sprayed with Distress Mica Spray (antiqued bronze)

#4  STENCIL / TEMPLATE
I have used the Chatterbox Journaling Genie #6 stencil, to create some stunning lines above and below my photo. I used Dreamweaver Pearlescent Embossing Paste and a Celebrations of Australia Embossing Powder (antique gold)

#5 FAVOURITE PRODUCT
Well, I've used so many of my favourite products in this layout. I love it when I can play with
a lot of my different products!
The Wood Flourish lettering and arrows, the Stampin' Up Note book edge punch,
and my splat rubber clear stamp, Stampin Up Paper Piercing mat,  just to name a few!

THANK YOU FOR A FUN CHALLENGE

Little boxes!

I was gifted with a gorgeous little box like these and when I had a few birthdays coming up I decided to give it a go!  WOW a...
