Just wanted to say a BIG thank you to Geli Duncan for a great workshop on Monday!!
I love these papers and the marvellous way she showed us how to cut up three pieces of 12" x 12" and then put them together again was fantastic. I can't wait to try this a gain on another collection of papers!!  Geli took a lot of trouble to do the sewing on all (9 of us) of our pages!

I love these photos I chose for this double page layout!
Thanks again Geli!

tyler loves CAKE

Anna's Craft Cupboard Community October Challenge
gave me the opportunity to scrap another page of my grandbaby boy Tylers 1st birthday party!
Tyler and his big brother Chace had a taste test and they approved!!   I wish everyone could hear how Tylers says CAKE  it is so cute!  cccccccaaaaaakkkkkkkeeeeeeee   doesn't do it justice!

I loved all the little squares especially the ones made from photos! Look at the anticipation on Tyler's face!!  I love this page simple BUT sweet as!

Many thanks once again!!!

This was a great challenge with a lovely sketch and five elements to include in the layout!
The photo is of my grandchild # 4, Chace with his brand new baby brother, Tyler, Grandchild # 6!
Here is how I used the five elements in my layout!

#1   U or YOU
My title is YOU TWO
I have used a couple of different circles -
Large outline circles; using Imagination Crafts Starlights Metallic Pain (clotted cream)
Medium and smaller ones; using the same paint but as a solid circle
One of my favourite things are flairs, so there is another circle!

Some more circles which are a little more subtle were sprayed with Distress Mica Spray (antiqued bronze)

I have used the Chatterbox Journaling Genie #6 stencil, to create some stunning lines above and below my photo. I used Dreamweaver Pearlescent Embossing Paste and a Celebrations of Australia Embossing Powder (antique gold)

Well, I've used so many of my favourite products in this layout. I love it when I can play with
a lot of my different products!
The Wood Flourish lettering and arrows, the Stampin' Up Note book edge punch,
and my splat rubber clear stamp, Stampin Up Paper Piercing mat,  just to name a few!

BEACH buddies

 Kraft Plus Challenge for October
I Can See Clearly Now!

I had a good time looking through my stash to find anything clear that might fit this challenge.
Velum; Flat glass Beads; Transparency Sheets used in the layering underneath the photos (pierced with little holes as a border); & also cut out wavy shapes from an embossed transparency sheet.

So I was able "to see clearly through" three different types of embellishments on this layout of photos from way back when.... The taller girl is me, when life was so simple and easy, with my sister beach buddies, enjoying sandy salty fun!

Thanks Kraft Plus for a fantastic challenge once again !!

Art & Soul
It's so therapeutic doing their Challenges!
I am really enjoying getting in touch with the sentiments of the mood board!

I love dabbling with a bit of mixed media, although I am not very good at it!
So many creations I see on Pinterest and Blogs are just beautiful!

I hope you all like this little journal page!

Remember the Day

Have lots of fun getting my fingers messy playing with Colour Blast!
Today I used the Colour Pastes Leather & Bling! They are so very versatile! I used a paint brush, a pallet knife and my fingers!

I used it neat to stencil the triangles on the background, &
I used it neat on my fingers to edge all the edges.
I used a paint brush to paint some home made chippie triangles with it &
once dry, stencilled some more triangles on top.
I lastly watered some of the paste down and flicked the diagonal page corners with some with my fan paint brush.

My photo has special memories for me as it was a holiday we went on together with my Mum!
This little ol' Post Office is in Sapphire, Qld, which is not far from Emerald. Don't you love the names of the towns out there! We were camping in a little place called Anakie which is an aboriginal word meaning "tow hills"!  Not sure I can remember any hills BUT I do remember that it was very HOT and terribly dusty!

Thanks Colour Blast for a great Triangular Challenge!

You can probably see that I had two more photos that I wanted to use in a layout SO a double layout was the order of the day!   See it below.

Scrap Matrix put up the challenge and I accepted it!!
I had taken some photos recently of my craft room, and knew they would be perfect!

As you can see I printed them in a strip of black and white mini photos to add to the left side of the layout. The main photo is one, that my daughter took of me, with one of the piles of pages, that need to have photos added and put into albums!!

I love "my space" and spend a lot of hours in there, so I have lots of favourite things around me to feel really at home and at peace while creating! Hoping you have learnt a little more about me and my space!

Thanks for the Challenge!

Everything at my finger tips in front of me
Here is the collection of photos I used on the layout!  They are not too clear as they are mini black and white. So here they are below in colour!
I love the cubes! I have two of them filled with albums, papers, inks, sprays, paints etc etc and lots of pretty bits and pieces. My scraps of paper and mini paper packs,  live in one of those little roll away trays thingies.  Sorting through my embellishments slowly but surely. Trying to get them into the one sort of box, so that they stack easier and are labelled for easy finding!
I am lucky enough to have a TV, sewing machine and computer in my room too.  I can listen to music or watch a favourite show I may have recorded!  The Computer? well I love adding bits and pieces of fancy journaling,  to my layouts and the computer is a great way!  I like to add a bit of sewing to some of my layouts so it is good to have the sewing machine set to go when I need it.
You can see a messy table here too! that is the aftermath of doing 21 layouts for challenges in the month of September.  I do not clean up between layouts just add the stuff to the pile and clean up when all finished. MOST of my ribbons are colour sorted in boxes of their own BUT I do have a box of anything goes there too!!  Have two door fulls of dyes and the Big Shot lives close by them so that I can get straight to it when needed.
Mess aftermath at the end of September Challenges
Printer and TV handy and a trusty Apple Cider too
lots of fun filled cubes here to play with
A work in progress. Sorting and labelling embellishments
One of the cubes filled with messy fun things
Rolly trays full of scraps and mini paper packs
Three cubes full of some of my patterned papers
Ribbon station
Dye Doors!

Love this COOL layout, inspired by a great mood board from Scrapbook Boutique.

These photos were perfect! They were taken on Christmas Day a few years ago! The weather was hot and the young ones had so much fun diving and splashing everywhere!

Thanks again

I love these colours together and they match really well with the postcard Christmas Card from our dear friends from across the seas!  Every year we receive a lovely card with uptodate photos of the family!!!
